To encourage Ss to have responsible attitude towards helping people with disabilities.

- To make Ss be aware of the importance of helping people with disabilities
- To enable Ss to use the language for practice correctly in order to develop students’ language competence,
collaborative competence.

+ What should we do to help them?
- Has a talk with Ss about the three or five pictures.
- Informs the class of the lesson objectives and leads
to the lesson.
- Ss’ answers may vary.
- Suggested answer:
They are the children

disadvantages

- Asks Ss questions about the illustration:
Who do you see in the picture?
What are they doing?
What do you think they are going to do with the gift?
- Tells Ss that that are going to listen to a
conversation in a school library between three
friends: Mai, Kevin and Maria.
- Lets Ss predict what these friends will be talking
about.
- Plays the recording twice.
- Has Ss listen and read the conversation silently.
- Then asks Ss if their predictions were correct.
- Ss both read and listen
to the conversation
between three friends:
Mai, Kevin and Maria.
- Ss can predict the
content of the
conversation.
